About us
Domestic abuse is undeniably a cancer in society today that gets a lot of attention in politics, media and society at large, with good reason.
Today most of the information, programmes and counselling adressing domestic abuse, comes from politicians, organisations and grassroot-movements most often with a secular political correct background and ideology, which colours the message and the overall political climate in society.
We find that the Christian community needs and deserves to have a voice in the debate too, promoting the Godly design for marriage and offering healing and restoration for both victims and perpetrators.
CADA aims to be such a voice for a united church without limitations of denomination, tradition and doctrines in an interdenominational collaboration, promoting biblical standards and the message of grace that covers all people in Christ Jesus.
We wish to:
Strengthen and promote God-honouring marriages.
See a united church against domestic abuse, standing together without boundaries of denomination or doctrines.
Keep "a finger on the pulse" in the Christian community through surveys and personal contact with pastors and church-leaders, to understand the current situation and what the needs are.
Create awareness about domestic abuse in reference to Gods design for marriage within the church and in society at large.
Support and encourage church-leaders in their daily work in the local churches, and in implementing programs as support-groups, shelters and safety plans.
Train and equip local pastors in how to respond to both victims and abusers.
Train and equip counselling ministers to adress the specific problems in domestic abuse based on biblical principles.
If you wish more information or a personal meeting to talk more about how we possibly can be of service to you and your congregation in your daily work please contact us.
We believe that the bible is authoritative as Gods word, revealing His plan and design for humanity in all areas of life.
Our believe is that marriage is ordained by God to be between one man and one woman to exist in the image of His nature, to be a physical human manifestation of the gospel and founded in the image of Christ relating to us His church as well as His relation to the Father.
We believe that anything violating that foundation in its nature is an act of evil and violence, both to God as the author and to ones spouse and family.
With the bible being authoritative we find that it also gives the way to healing and restoration, where both victims and offenders can find their freedom from the burdens of sin through the grace of God and the sacrifice of Christ.
