Wonderfully made

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”

-Psalm 139:13-14

I often meet women in pastoral care and counselling that has gone through years of abuse in all it´s forms and if there is one thing I should say they all have in common, it is that they lost that deep sense of security that comes from knowing the identity, purpose and worth they have ingrained in them as bearers of the image of God.

How my prayers is that every woman will get the confidence the psalmist had writing this, knowing that you are made perfect by Him also means that no one can really take that away from you, even if you should forget, you are still valuable and perfect in His image deserving a future of peace and love. You are in the promise given to Jeremiah that God has plans for you and that He will bring you back from your captivity in verse 14

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

Lord we pray this day that every woman in the bondage and captivity of abuse will come to you in prayer,

so that you may reveal yourself as their Creator who purposedly shaped them into your image and purpose.
Let your love and care for their whole being so overflow them that any and all chains who hold them back will break and they finally can walk in the freedom of your plans for them.
